Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026. What this website sets on your device and why.

Draft for review. This policy was rewritten for the new website and is awaiting approval by Afrofiliate Ltd.

This Cookie Policy explains how Afrofiliate Ltd uses cookies on www.afrofiliate.com and on the Afrofiliate platform at app.afrofiliate.com. Read it to understand what cookies are, which ones we use and how to control them.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when a website loads in your browser. They let a site remember something between pages or visits, such as a login or a preference.

Cookies on This Website

www.afrofiliate.com is a static website. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or session-recording scripts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing for it to ask about. The pound and dollar switch on the pricing page is remembered only for as long as the page is open.

Third Parties

Two third-party services can set cookies, and each one loads only when you choose to use it:

  • YouTube. Videos on the home, brands and creators pages and in some blog posts are shown as a still poster. The YouTube player, served from youtube-nocookie.com, loads only when you press play. YouTube may then set cookies under its own policy. The notice on the poster tells you this before you press play.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile. When the contact form is live, Turnstile checks that the message comes from a person. It may set a cookie for that check. It is not loaded on any other page.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which may set a security cookie such as __cf_bm if bot protection is turned on for the domain. That cookie is used only to keep the site available.

The Afrofiliate Platform and Tracking Links

Afrofiliate does not process or collect any personal data in cookies from consumers who click on adverts sourced through Afrofiliate.

Afrofiliate creates two persistent cookies when a consumer clicks on an advert that is sourced through Afrofiliate. These cookies exist to enable reporting of the usage of the advert redirects.

  • visitorId_{PID} records the usage by the consumer of a specific advert within a specific advertising programme (the PID).
  • tag records all the programmes for which an advert has been clicked.

These cookies can be deleted using the techniques described below. However, by deleting them the consumer may not be able to benefit from rewards or discounts for purchases based on the source of the advert.

Logged-in users of app.afrofiliate.com also receive an essential session cookie that keeps them signed in.

Your Rights

We will only use cookies that personally identify you, your computer or your mobile device if you have agreed to it, or if we have a legitimate reason to do so such as fraud prevention.

You have the right at any time to withdraw your agreement to the use of cookies, to refuse cookies altogether, to delete cookies that have already been set and to change your cookie settings.

You can restrict, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The help function in your browser explains how. For mobile browsers refer to your handset manual. More information is available at www.aboutcookies.org and www.allaboutcookies.org.

Refusing, deleting or disabling cookies may mean you cannot use some parts of the platform.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please revisit it regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
